On Tuesday 13th May 2025, we will be running our 2026 School Open Day.
This Open Day will run from 9am until 11.30am and will include opportunities for potential new families and their children to observe, ask questions, and join in with classroom activities. We recommend staying for the whole 2.5 hours with your children.
This is a great opportunity to experience Deans Marsh Primary School to see first-hand what makes us a unique option for your child’s education.
This Open Day is part of 2025 Education Week, and if you can’t make it, please contact us to arrange another visit time. Staff, students, and our families work together to make Deans Marsh Primary School the best school we can be. On behalf of us all, we look forward to welcoming new families to our school community.

Ready to enrol in Prep?
The Department of Education has released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2026 school year.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Deans Marsh Primary School.
All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2025 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2026 school year.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2025 at Deans Marsh Primary School from 22 April 2025.
What you need to do:
1. Contact our school to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
2. Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack (available by 22 April 2025) from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). This pack includes an application form, which you can also download below.
3. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25 July 2025.
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28 July and Friday 8 August 2024.
5. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2024.
6. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Wednesday 28 January 2026.
Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Are we your designated neighbourhood school?
A student’s designated neighbourhood school is generally the school that is nearest the student’s permanent address as determined by the school zone. The Find My School website provides guidance on which school zone a student’s permanent residence is located within.
The Department of Education Placement Policy has more information on this.
Families are able to apply for a place at a school that is not their designated neighbourhood school.
All students who seek enrolment in a school outside of their designated neighbourhood school should be enrolled in that school, if there is sufficient capacity at the school to accommodate all students who apply.
